Elliot Technologies provides media and related companies with advanced engineering solutions.  Drawing on a team of professionals with extensive backgrounds in engineering systems and design, ET is a consulting firm specializing in the technical and business issues of Advanced Television, Digital Television, data services and digital audio and video systems.   The firm was founded in 1997 by David Elliot, previously the Vice President of Engineering Services for the ABC Television Network.  He spent over 30 years at ABC-TV, pioneering the development of new equipment and strategies in virtually every area of the Broadcasting Operations and Engineering division. At ABC Elliot served as director of technical operations for ABC's coverage of the 1984 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles.  In this capacity he was responsible for the design and implementation of all broadcast and engineering operations.   He worked in the same capacity for ABC's broadcast of the 1988 Winter Olympic Games in Calgary.  He was awarded two Emmys for his achievements.   Elliot Technologies, LLC, has clients from broadcast and cable, manufacturers and research companies.  Among its clients have been: ABC-TV, Nielsen Media Research, the Advanced Television Technology Center, Speer Communications, Gemstar International, and the Discovery Channel. The Elliot Technology team has members who have served on the FCC Advisory Committee on Advanced Television Services, the Board of the Advanced Television Test Center, the technology advisory board of the Museum of Television and Radio, committees of the SMPTE and on the Executive Committee and Technology Committees of the ATSC.   They have worked on hardware and software projects ranging from developing character generators to designing digital broadcast plants.
